2018 Honda CB 125F Asia launch likely to happen soon, bike’s patent image leaked.
The 2018 Honda CB 125F’s patent image has been doing rounds on the internet and several media reports suggest that the bike could be launched in Asia this FY. Honda had recently confirmed that it will launch one brand new 2-wheeler and 18 upgrades on existing models this fiscal. So, the brand new 2-wheeler could be the CB 125F.
The overall design of the 2018 Honda CB 125F is no different when compared to the previous model, however, the headlight gets minor tweaks. Going by the leaked image, the bike gets a new design for the visor and mudguard, the fuel tank sees a minor revision while the seat seems to be a wider unit. The 2018 CB 125F also gets a slimmer exhaust and split grab rails. Similar to all the new Honda bikes and scooters, the CB 125F is also likely to come equipped with a LED headlamp.
The Honda CB 125F is likely to borrow the 125cc powerplant from the CB Shine. The 125cc air-cooled motor in the Shine makes 10.3 PS of power and 10.3 Nm of torque. The vehicle is likely to get a 4-speed gearbox. Honda already sells the CB 125F in the UK. The bike there gets a balancer shaft, air cooling and fuel-injection. The 124.7cc mill makes 10.6 PS and 10.2 Nm of torque and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The leaked patent image reveals the bike will use a front disc brake and a drum brake at the rear. As per the norms, it is likely to get CBS and is expected to be positioned above the CB Shine.
