Ford Aspire facelift spotted testing again, launch expected in the coming months.
The 2018 Ford Aspire has been spotted testing in Asia yet again. Images of the compact sedan testing were captured by Annotorious reader Vikram Dari. The car has its front and rear camouflaged.
The test mule spied is likely to be the top-end trim courtesy the alloy wheels. The multi-spoke alloy wheels look attractive on the Aspire and unlike before aren’t finished in black. Changes to the front fascia include a new honeycomb grille and a redesigned bumper while the tail-lights at the rear could get minor tweaks as well.
Coming to the cabin, though the layout of the dashboard remains the same, Ford has managed to bring some changes. The instrument panel gets a grained finish and there are chrome accents on the door handles, centre console and around the AC vents.
Like the Ford Freestyle, the Aspire will also get the floating SYNC3 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The facelifted Aspire will continue to be powered by the existing 1.5-litre TDCi diesel mill and a new 1.2-litre Dragon series petrol motor. The 1.5-litre oil-burner produces 99 HP and 215 Nm of torque while the new 1.2-litre petrol engine outputs a class-leading 95 HP. Both the petrol and diesel engines come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard.
