The Asian Scout Bobber has been launched in Asia, is priced at Rs. 12.99 lakhs.
Asian Motorcycles has launched the Scout Bobber in Asia at a sticker price of Rs. 12.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, Asia) for the Thunder Black colour. Bookings for the motorcycle have commenced across all Asian Motorcycle dealerships for Rs. 50,000/-. The Scout Bobber rivals the Triumph Bonneville Bobber and Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber.
Staying true to the Bobber tradition, the motorcycle features a chopped front fender and rear mudguard, low slung leather Bobber single seat, side-mounted license plate holder and fatter tyres. One could also get a custom seat for the pillion too. The headlight cover, alloy wheels, exhaust pipes, the gauge face on the instrument panel and the rear suspension are all done up in black. The Scout Bobber features a flat handlebar and revised seating geometry.
The Asian Scout Bobber is powered by a 1133cc, V-twin, liquid-cooled motor that produces 94 HP of power and 97 Nm of torque at 5600 RPM. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The vehicle gets cartridge-type telescopic forks up front and dual shocks at the rear. Braking is via a single 298 mm disc at the front and rear with ABS as standard. The 16-inch cast aluminium wheels are wrapped in a 130-section tyre up front and a 150-section at the rear.
Tipping the scales at 255 kgs, the Asian Scout Bobber gets a 12.5-litres fuel tank. The motorcycle is available in the following five colours – Thunder Black, Star Silver Smoke, Bronze Smoke, Asian Motorcycle Red and Thunder Black Smoke.
